篮球火, [Cross Over, Dogashi Kaden (Basketball Mangas)], they all have this very weak main character who can’t play basketball for nuts. But through training, this main character becomes the integral member of a basketball team, after some tribulations he became the star player of the team. Sounds corny, but i’ve always liked the storyline of the weak struggling, working hard and eventually overpowering the strong. The kind of character/spirit/belief the main character portray in these shows/mangas greatly impacted me. They made me think that even i can do anything in basketball as long as i believe.
As time goes by, the impression of these stories on me fades off. i did a reality check on myself. After playing basketball for at 5 years, i cant even dribble a ball properly, my off-the-ball runs are too repetitive, there’s no creativity in my strikes.. Man i can go on and on without stopping. There’s just so much flaws in my game. All basketball players know that if you put in the effort to train, you can get better, but most people don’t do it. We have thousands of excuses/distractions to give ourselves. In the end, we end up sitting in our living room/bedroom, watching tv/surfing net. BE MORE PRODUCTIVE PLS K LUON.
时间是自己找出来的!
Thus, i decided to start off this basketball regime i have for myself. Reporting all training sessions on this page. How long i can last this, i don’t know. But i do hope i can keep this up as long as possible.
Here are some basic rules i’ve set for this regime.
1. Minimum of 3 training sessions per week (be it running, matches, skill/strength training)
2. Each session will be at least 1.5 hours non-stop.
3. Only excuse to skip = Injuries.
P.S. I’ve created another blog for blogging down training reports. So that it won’t be messy in this blog.
